I think we can now safely go back to the originator of this thread, an experienced flying instructor. I would like to reiterate his succinct, accurate, and well put description of where
today's
industry is going:
I think Slydemon is at a point now were it simply can't be made any better for VFR flight. So how about adding synthetic vision and IFR approach plates say the gCAP ones?

That may well be true here. However, they have been and are being answered elsewhere! We all are all keen to see SD remain at the apex in every way.

The problem is that I don't think I have seen anything that is near to SD for VCR planning and I hate the thought of carrying multiple devices. My flight bag is already very heavy!
